ok there are a lot of questions on here from girls who have had sex , pregnant or want to have sex and they are mostly 15-18. ok i can understand 18 but 15 and 16? why do girls want to have sex so young? why cant they wait till they are old enough to really understand what the cosequences are? Girls just dont give it up because you are curiouse or because everyone else is doing it! dont even give it up for love because if it is real true love like you feel it is than it would be so much sweeter when you are old enough to understand it!!!

I have my doubts about your statement. Of course, I am a much older women but I lost my virginity at 17 and I totally understood the consequences and I was prepared, both emotionally and physically not to mention with birth control. If its true love then why do you need to wait for a specific age to release this passion and desire. If you truly love the man you feel you are going to give yourself to then what is the problem if the girl is 15, hell she may be mature enough to handle that situation. Just because one is 25 one still may not be prepared for sex. So I think just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, love is also in the hearts of individuals and therefore we cannot judge people for their lovemaking decisions.

I am 20 years old and regret losing my virginity at the age of 15. I think these days both guys and girls are growing up way too quickly. they are influenced by the media and other kids. there are older kids in high school and i think the range of ages being from 14 to 18 have a huge impact on kids. they may be friends with an older kid and want to seem like they are older or more mature. their raging hormones dont help either. that age group has the highest amount of hormones and sexual desires. its hard to abstain. i remember in middle school people were having oral sex. all the guys would talk about was blow jobs. i think it is just unavoidable even though it is sad what the kids are doing. my parents went through it with me and i will go through it with my son and daughter. we just have to give our best advice and be firm, but remember that we cant control them and they do have a mind of their own.

You have to consider also the mental maturity of the girls you're addressing. Let me tell you -- true love is something that can't be mistaken. If a smart, mature-minded girl is in a situation like that, with someone she loves so much and cares so much for her, is that such a bad thing? It's less likely that she'll regret it, so long as it's with someone she loves -- and KNOWS that she loves, not just some naive passing fancy.

I agree, that most girls losing their virginity at young ages just want to look more grown up and don't understand the implications of what they're doing -- but just as many are victims of loveless relationships. They think that because they have sex, they might be considered more of a target for boys who WILL love them.

Teenage society is very stressful these days. Peer pressure and authority and school and fitting in are such stressors on kids . . . I think it's sometimes hard for people from the older generations to understand.

I am 16. I am still a virgin. I have a boyfriend who loves me very, very, very much. And I feel the same way for him. He knows what my virginity means to me, and is willing to wait for me. What would you have thought of me if I had not told you my age, and situation?

You are so right, at their age I was not thinking about sex,at least not actually having it anyway. I don't think these girls value their bodies very much. Hopefully when they grow up they will understand that your man (or partner) has to earn that part of you. Really why buy the cow when the milk is free. When your old enough to just want sexual relationships with men without the commitment then you can say "Why by the pig, when all you want is a piece of sausage"

Remember when you were a kid, and you wanted to play with the big kids? Its the same thing.

With all the sexual themes in television, movies, and music most youngsters think that they are being left out of the fun. And since its free, and doesn't require anything but two willing participants in the hormonal craziness of adolescence, it is a natural desire.

Sex education is fashioned so that kids will be afraid to have sex, and this approach just doesn't work.

What we as parents (not yet for me) and members of society must find is the way to bridge the consequence argument with logical reasons and education without ignoring the pleasure that sex provides.

Amen. (no pun intended) Making love can be the most beautiful experience, but you need to be mature enough to understand more than the just the physical side. Unfortunately, peer pressure has a way of 'making' people do things they shouldn't..which is too bad. Now, if we could only change some attitudes towards other aspects..maybe we could actually solve some of the world's problems.

Peer pressure is the main reason i think they have sex at a young age. Another reason is they think that is how to feel wanted. Some girls may not be getting attention at home from parents that they need so they go out and get attention from boys. Even though this type of attention they get from boys is really negative at the moment they feel it is positive attention.

i agree with you...see they need to understand im almost 17 and i already know all the things to know...im a smart kid and i have a head on my sholders...just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean you should. I have friends that have made mistakes by having kids too young like my friend Kayleigh...she gave it up to her ex bf and they had a daughter...she's cute but its wrong...she did it to make him happy and so he wouldn't leave...well he did and he left kay with her baby all alone. See the thing is they got to understand...there are diseases out there they can catch and they don't understand that they are serious...serious enough to kill you. They just need to watch out for themselves..and their actions otherwise they are gonna be sorry they ever did anything. I know my friend Kayleigh wants to go back on what she did...but she can't now...and she says it sux to be a mom at so young.

Today girls are reaching puburity far early then ever before. There bodies are ready it long before they are emotionally stable for sex. But is anybody ever realy emotionally ready for sex. Look out there the school start teaching about intercourse at the age of 8 years we are surronded by sexuality.
