I mean MIDGETS!!! I say give em a state! Rip down all the big houses and put up tiny ones. Put up cameras and BAM! you've got the ultimate reality show! No one would miss Rhode Island. And that would be the best state anyway because its the smallest! HA! Now does that clarify the question you bastard!

Yeah, how much they can walk all over him.And just frustrate his or her existamce. It is a shame, but you have a lot of people in america that does not like seeing that happen and take action. And when you say the little guy, I asume you mean the homeless, living in poverty, starving, and the man that is a shadow in this great nation of ours. But should have the equality to exist as the next man.America has a mentality of playing king of the hill. But the problem is we don't aknowledge ourselves as that hill. But the answer is I care.I give money to the homeless on the daily.Even if I have $15 dollars in my pocket.I will give a homeless person $10.He can use it more than me.My only worry is if he would use it to buy drugs.Hopefilly, he would just buy a meal. Those people by the intersections wit a sign held up saying "will work for food".I call them to my car and give them money. That's just me.So your answer is SOME people don't care. But I am not most. And I care.PEACE!

Come On! America prides itself on its rugged individualism. If you can't make it on your own then go to some socialist country where they baby you and provide you with good medical care no matter how much money you have. Don't you know every third world citizen wants to come to America. They are excited about the prospect of living in a free capitalistic economy where they can become rich by driving a taxi, picking fruit, cooking for us or taking care of our children. (jobs that Americans won't do. I hear)
This is the place where no child can be left behind as long as he passes the merit exams. This is the place where there is a safety net for your parents and all elderly people as long as they don't fall into a donut hole. This is the place where you can be homeless and panhandle a good living as long as you can survive the winter cold, diseases and mentally Ill companions living on your grate. In America the little guy has as much opportunity as anyone else. It does not matter if your teeth are decayed out of you head, you reek of filth and are crawling with lice. You can pull yourself up by the bootstraps in America and become a millionaire. Who says the little guy isn't cared about.

It's a broad question, but I'll take a shot. On the governmental level, of course not, unless he's got a big guy at his back. On a media level, Americans tend to be suckers for the hard luck/struggling hero story. On the personal and community level, we tend to reach out and work together for mutual aid.
I hope that answers your question.

Oh yes. I get 10-20 emails a day offering to help the smaller man reach his full potential and please and surprise his partner.
From the emails I receive, I would guess only home owners looking for mortgage refinancing and seniors looking for cheap canadian medications are as well served as the little man.

Nope - Everyone is out for themselves - It's all about money, power and politics. It is rarely ever about caring about the little guy.
Only the strongest survive!
