At present dubai only has buses , and taxis for public transportation .the rail system will be in place 2009. taxis are freely available .But traffic in Dubai is too much .taxis charge starts from Aed 3.5 (1 usd =Aed 3.67).
You can also get across the creek on abras (boats) for about Aed 1

Then the Best Is Public Transport ..But Soon They Will Make Trains in Dubai ...It Will Be Amazing ...

its gr8 for those who cant afford cabs the only problem is traffic in dubai
well its not bad to travel from one end of dubai to other end with in 3 or 4 dh
but time is no guranteee

yes Dubai has a public transportation if i interpret ur question properly, there is Dubai Munipality public bus facility and it is cheaper than the taxi,

we don't have an expansive public transportation device the place I stay considering the fact that we are greater out from the city. yet i could think of if we've been interior the city, i can not see a reason at the back of the cost of possessing a motor vehicle.

Please never go by bus. People here use cars. Buses are for workers and poor population normally. You will not in"ur plate"
