Yes, animals can suffer from asthma the same as humans. It's usually got from the dusty environment they live in. Horse can get a condition called Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder which is caused by spores from hay and other plants. Cats and dogs can get asthma like conditions from living somewhere very dusty or being in amongst places not cleaned thoroughly.

yes they do ,.at my riding club there are 2 horses with asthma .they use the same kind of thing for the horses as for humans .The puffers ,with the baby's version of the tubey thing .Except they have it up their noses!U hold your hand to the other side of the nose and spray the inhaler.
The puffs are the same as inhalers!

One of my older horses has asthma (a form of "heaves"), he occasionally has flare-ups and goes on oral medications, usually 'Bute, to help his breathing.
