1. He is rich and can afford lawyers who can keep the trial from ever happening.
2. He had sex with an underaged BLACK girl, and the authorities don't really seem to care that much when black girls are abused or molested.

I'm glad I clicked on this question and saw Toni Montana's answer. That makes perfect sense now. When was the last time you heard of an out and out search for a missing Asian woman/girl? Native American? Hispanic? It just doesn't make news and it also seems some people assume she's run away or something.
R. Kelly needs to face up to what he's done and people need to stop buying his music.

Probably never people are already losing interest in prosecuting him...He is just holding out much longer. He is a celeb and you know how that is, whats the purpose of having court to face charges and just to get off like any other celeb...You should know the rules by now as long as you get the $$$$ you don't have to do the time...

It's hard to say. Two young girls in my family were molested almost four years ago and it STILL has not gone to trial. :( It's set to start Monday.
