I was having a conversation with a person about a subject she admitted she knew nothing about. During the course of the conversation, she gave opinions about things that were not quite true, and was unhappy that I in turn asked how she could opinionate on something she said, she knew nothing about. I used the example that, if we were discussing horses, she would have the disadvantage, because she had never had horses, and I had. Then I used the example of raising children. If we were discussing raising children, I would have a disadvantage because I have no children and she does. She immediately became offended, said I had no right to bring her children into it, and stomped off like a five year old, with me shaking my head and going..."huh"?

I don't have any great examples of this phenomenon, but I didn't know if you were describing my wife or my last supervisor.
