I'm quite worried about this. I think he's quite effiminate, why would she be attracted to someone like this? I just don't understand: when I was her age it was only the very masculine men who were considered attractive.

I'm 15 and alot of my friends like johnny depp. it is just fun to have a celebrity that you really like. Some people go a little to far and become obsessed. I wouldn't say that i am obsessed, but i like adam brody (the o.c.'s seth cohen) and ivan koumeav (hip hop dancer on so you think you can dance). Johnny Depp is a nice looking guy, and he isn't a bad person so he is ok for a teenage girl to look up to. It is not like she is actually gonna date him or anything.

I think she likes his acting. I don't think he's effiminate. Maybe your daughter just like guys who are sensitive.
I think it's a better choice. My 4 year daughter loves Anakin Skywalker in the last Star Wars and calls Obiwan Kenobi a loser. Just think what kind of guy she'll be bringing home when she grows up. My husband is already panicking.

Why are you so worried? She just has a little celb crush. He's a great actor isn't he???? It's not like she's going to bring him home & get married.... Don't worry so much. If that's the kind of thing she's into, then see where it'll take her. Maybe she's just rebeling and will grow out of it. Besides, you can't look over her for the rest of her life, can you? She's starting to make her own deccissions.

There is nothing to be worried about and he's not effeminate. He is a skilled actor who loves his trade. Masculinity has nothing to do with attractiveness for some people, some people find Russel Crowe attractive, I personally find him very unattractive. It's all in personal taste, let your daughter like who she likes.

She will grow out out of it. Most teenagers go threw this. As long as she does not think she is Johnny Depp you have no worries. Let her be a teen.

ok i do. im guessing im just a little younger than she is. some peole just find people to be obsessed with or their friends are so they become too. Like i am kind of obsessed with dylan and cole sprouse. she isnt excactly attracted to him. she just thinks he is hot. And her friends talk about him or whoever her friends are obsessed with and they are like "o isnt johny depp so hot?" and "yeah!". dont be worried. its ok.i guess it is a phase.
