I am guessing this is in response to Ms Navratilova's question on the Yahoo FP at the moment about the tennis earnings...

All I have to say on this matter is this, on Monday, any of you women on here that work, go to your boss (no self employed please) and say "I want to work 9 to 3 but get paid from 9 to 5".

Then come back on here and post your success rate.

By my reckoning, the women should be earning 2/3 of what the men earn. This is based on the fact that if a man and a woman completed a match in the least amount of sets, the men would still play 1 set more.

As much as I appreciate that the current female definition of "Equal" seems to be "any amount which is greater than another amount", we have to accept, that you cannot put 66% of the time in and get 100% of the earnings out. I am sure that 99% of bosses would agree.

The potential solutions are simple, make the womens game best of 5 sets or make the mens game the best of 3 sets, then make the earnings identical. If they want to make it really interesting and fair, make it all best of three and have combined championships... i.e. men and women playing each other.

They claim to be the superior sex, it's about time we give them chance to prove it, on equal grounds.
