Perhaps new ideas are needed to deal with the terrorist situation worldwide. What the current administration has tried so far has only resulted in motivating more angry people to consider extreme activities against their percieved enemies.
From Lamont's website-
Without negotiating with terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, President Bush and the Secretary of State ought to be working on a peace settlement with Israel, the Palestinians and others who might help. The outlines of a peace agreement are there; both sides agree: land for recognition, peace and security.
Just from reading that paragraph, Lamont seems to be more in favor of diplomacy than bombs.
I'm not in CT but I was sure happy to see Lieberman defeated. He should go join up with his buddies, the Republicans.

No--but this is From his website: http://nedlamont.com/issues/27/iraq
"That the war in Iraq has diverted far too many of our dollars, and too much of our attention, from our needs back home. The crisis in health care, lack of progress towards energy independence, and struggling public schools are examples of how our government is not leading, but allowing lobbyists and special interests to write the rules."
AND
"The War in Iraq
Three years ago, President George Bush rushed our country to war in Iraq and Senator Lieberman has cheered him on every step of the way. No, there was no imminent threat to America, there were no weapons of mass destruction, and we were not greeted as liberators.
Today, America is no safer, Israel is no safer, Iran is more dangerous, Osama bin Laden is still at large, and our brave troops are stuck in the middle of a bloody civil war. I believe that those leaders who got us into this mess should be held accountable.
Looking forward, I salute the patriotism and wisdom of Congressman Murtha and others who emphasize that “stay the course” is not a winning strategy for Iraq or America. Our best chance of success requires that the Iraqis take control of their own destiny. America should make clear that we have no designs upon their oil and no plans for permanent bases. While we will continue to provide logistical and training support as long as we are asked, our frontline military troops should begin to be redeployed and our troops should start heading home. "

Ned Lamont doesn't have a clue, and should not have won the Connecticut Democrat primary.

Anytime you think you can surrender to the terriorists look at durfer. They won the war. They had the country.
So they divided it up among themselves and continued the fighting. kiddnapping 25,000 children and using the girls as sex slaves and the boys are being trained to fight. Each other.
Millions have died at there hands and millions more they are stratigely killing by mass starvation. Brultal torture the worst atorcities even on humans. Surrender is not an option.
Islamic terriorists don't stop killing when everyone surrenders.

You're dumb. Just because he is anti-war doesn't mean that he's a terrorist or with the terrorists.
So far, I don't think us being at war the Middle East has gotten us anywhere. Osama is still out there (5 years later). Terrorists are still at large. Soldiers are still dying. Why is war the only "right" solution to you people?

Ned Lamont's strategy is to convert to Islam and then have his wife married to the nearest fanatic.

I think Ned is going to take a page from the French military manual. Pre-emptive surrender.

The plan is simple , just like Mr. Lamont ..
First we cut and run , bring all our troops home , disband and disarm them and we surrender to the first camel that walks by .
Sheer genius !!

CT needs to wake up and smell the coffee.
