mobile cellphone trick..if it works you might use it?

on the internet it says that you can buy a mobile for free and with him you get a sim card with subscription of 33$ a month.so what if you get the sim card out and BURN IT and put your own sim card and you have a phone for free???is this true or am i missing something

The "free" 'phone will inevitably be locked to one service provider. If the 'phone can be unlocked then you should be ok.

It won't be free of course, it will cost you a few dollars to unlock plus the cost of another sim card.
