I have never cried over any song until recently. I am now in my 60's & my life long friend died 2 years ago. He requested that at the wake that we only played songs from the 1950's - 1960's. Those were the years of our youth when we were a pair of "Jack the Lads". I can say unashamedly that I cried like a baby listening to them. I have a great collection of golden oldies & now I cry every time I play them.

"Lightning Crashes" by Live always makes me cry because it makes me think firstly of my son being born and secondly of my gran who died a few years ago. Lots of songs make me smile, but especially at the moment my little boy singing the "winnie the pooh" song is guaranteed to raise a smile. OK sorry I know I'm a softie.

Cry..."Tears in Heaven" Eric Clapton. It's about his young son, I think he was like 5 or 6, died..as I understand it he fell out of a window.
Smile..."Jessica" Allman Brothers....I named my daughter after that song because it gives me the same happy feeling as when she was born.
