Why are you convinced he wants something else? I find the female responses about finding it hard to figure out what men are thinking hysterical. I can tell you what we're thinking about.
Nothing.
He shows no interest in doing things other then hanging out with you, playing video games, having sex and sleeping because he's NOT that interested in anything else. But he sounds like he wants you to be happy, so when you suggest things he goes - because he wants you to be happy. This isn't a bad thing, its called compromise. You seem convinced there is some other activity he must secretly want to do, but it sounds like there isn't! Don't feel guilty about dragging him around, he probably enjoys being with you and is happy to do stuff that you want to do. What does your man want? Sex and companionship. If your companionship needs aren't being satisfied, then I suggest trying to get him to engage with you a little more, but let him know what you want, don't wait around for it.

Hey I enjoy going out for long car rides with my lady. We go out sunset chasing and watch the sky change colours as the sun sets. Last weekend we actually went rainbow chasing, a first and it was so cool seeing this example at different angles. I use a wheelchair a lot of the time and I enjoy when we go for walks on the boardwalk by the river also. Basically we discuss things that we should or could do so as not to become a piece of furnature and then choose what sounds like most fun. Sometimes its just a nice ride to a dairy bar . We also go White Water Rafting once a year, sound like a pro but actually it's only our second year and it is a blast. Life is way to short so you and your fellow need to find some stuff that would interest you both and go out and take the bull by the horns and do it. Doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg as mother nature is free. But if you have some extra funds then try something exciting like White Water Rafting or going to a live theatre. Concerts are great fun also. And if either of you are into any sports then take in one of these events, like a Nascar race or a hockey or baseball game. Communication is the secret and you guys need to discuss honestly what you want, not only in your relationship at present, but to do in life to make EVERYTHING more exciting. Best of luck to you and your man.

Ok, it all bears down to ..
How long have you been with your "man"?
If its been a long time, and if he is getting up in years, then his interests will not be as strong, (especially if he has no outside hobbies), to get out and "do" things...
Now, if he is "fat", then you are a big contributor of THAT situation, as you do the cooking! Put him on a diet and exercise and he will eventually get more "energy" to do things...
If he is skinny, then I would take him to the Doctors and see if there is any "depression" that you should know about..(this can often be controlled by drugs or a large amount of exercise and getting busy with things, but, the depression gets in the way, so, its a tough nut to crack)....
If he has "always" been this way, well, then you may want to "change him", but, some guys are not open to change! He may be one of those, and will only put up with the "nag factor" for so long, before he calls it quit! (Thats why I dont believe in "living together" with out the benefiet of Marriage)...
Now, if he has been a "go getter" all this time and he has slowed down, then maybe you ought to get him checked out by a Doctor and see if there are some imbalances in his system.
Or, if you cant change "his" attitude, then maybe you had better start working on "your" attitude, so that you can better cope with your present living conditions that may prevail for the rest of your life...
I wish you well..
Jesse

Well...guess that I can sympathize with you. As hard as it may seem try dragging him out to flea markets or something along those lines on nice sunny days. My wife does that with me and I'm sorry to say I'd prefer to hang out and goof around on the computer playing video games. Oh...not shoot-em-ups. The micro-managing civilization/business stuff. But what does that matter right? I'm still in front of the tube.
I have made it a point to go with my wife to dinner on the weekends or antique shops because she loves it and why not? It makes her happy. As far as my gaming goes. She tells people "Hey...he could be in a bar. At least I know when I want him he's just down the hall". Oh...and a note for hubby. When your wife walks in the room and your playing your game...pause it or shut it off. That's courteous.

Maybe the relationship isn't worth it you should find a guy that isn't exactly like you but at least likes to party and go places!!!obviously you boyfriend doesn't like to party but likes to stay at home and chill out. but if u are really in love with this man then stay out home cuddle up and watch a movie then the next time you go out go to dinner or some place where u can spend quiet time together not in a club he will definetley despise the time it is too much 4 a stay at home guy

Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. The only real activity that men like doing with women is having sex. If they do anything else with you, they do it to preserve the right to have sex in the future. What they really want and enjoy is to lose themselves in some video-game, sport, or a pint of beer.

First things first; your man's actions will always tell you more than his words. If what he says doesn't match what he does, then something is wrong.
As for what they want; that's as varied as the men out there. The hard part is finding one you're comfortable and happy with that wants some (most) of the same things you do.
I don't know the whole situation, but it sounds to me like you're being played.

You question is not applicable to your situation. You are giving your guy what he wants.
Since you give him sex when he wants it and you don't require attention at other times, why would he give you attention. Sorry to say it, but sex IS the main drive for most males. As we get older, that changes, but sex is still at the top of the list. You want to get his attention? Stop having sex whenever he wants it....and tell him why.
Good luck.

First off...I may not be a man, but I can answer this one...it's a no brainer...DUMP HIM!...Who cares what that loser wants. Find a man that values and respects you, not one that uses you like a toy and then tosses you to the side until he wants to play again. Never give a boy that must control, they're too immature...gurl, you need a man. Throw that loser to the curb!

Men are concrete they do not like to share their feelings like women and the way they show us is through sex, because they are not good at expressing themselves through words. Men are physical women are about feelings. We analyze too much. Find things for you to do together at home. Show interest in his things too. Then maybe he will start showing interest in things you like. But do not expect too much, he is a man.
