You have razor burn with a possibility of some ingrown hairs...in that area it's absolutely necessary to shave in the direction your hair grows...if you don't the hair basically stabs your skin on the way out making red bumps and sensitivity, or gets caught inside and makes an ingrown hair...the more you shave the less likely this is to happen, but I would just concentrate on healing for now...it might feel worse before it gets better...keep it clean, wear cotton, and don't be afraid to try it again...I usually have a seperate razor that I use for that and I keep an extra on hand in case it's the slightest bit dull

Only use a 3 or 4 blade, high quality razor to shave "anywhere" on your body. That will eliminate after shaving rashes. The cheap ones will do the job but cause problems afterward.

Its a shaving rash. Exfoliate the area before you shave and then use a good quality shave cream or hair conditioner and make sure you use a brand new razor blade. I find that using some of LUSH's silky underwear dusting powder after helps cos it has coco butter in it. Good luck!

It generally is normal You say that you don't usually shave down there then it is most likely simple sensitivity It won't have any long or short term health effects but if it gets to uncomfortable I wouldn't recommend doing it again... But knowledge is obviously limited in that particular department miss

This is very common, and is just a response to that very sensitive area being shaved. They are razor bumps. Try waxing or using depilatory creams.

Very sensitive skin? I think you need some tongue oil on it.
