My husband went to the hospital....he can't work due to some legal reasons..however i do work. The hospital sent us some forms for something about Charity Care, which i doubt i qualify for..i make more then their number requires..BUT i don't make tons of money, i support my husband 100% financially, so thats 2 people on one wage, I can really only afford $20 a month..even though they wanted $100 a month.. On these forms they want bank account details, numbers and balances.. Although, i have no money in there..it still kind of worries me...should i worry or let them have the details? or just pay them what i can afford per month.
Any advice or ideas would be appreciated

If the Charity Care is a real program, then it would work to your benefit if you are qualify. I'd ask around, make sure it's a real program, but I do know some hospitals whom have something simular.
Also, Social Services has a program to help people who needed hospital stay, but can't pay for it. Talk to your local Social Services dept. and tell then the situation. They probably have that program in your area. Also, they might know if the hospital's program is real. If they don't, then talk to the Health Dept. they might know for certain.
If you or your husband needs medication, go to http://www.needymeds.com they help people with a certain amount of income get medication. Look on the left hand side, you should see "brand name" and "generic" click on those to see if your medication is listed there. If it is, click on the medication for instructions on applying. You'll need to give the form to your dr. to fill out their part, but if you qualify you usually get a three month supply free or at a very reduced cost. And you have to reapply ever so often.
Hope this helps.

The hospital where I work has a charity care program. It doesn't hurt to try to get some relief from your medical bills. They take into account how many people are in your household and outstanding debt. I know that often if there is a person who does not qualify for total relief sometimes they qualify for partial relief of debt. Also the hospital will take what you can pay. If they tell you $100, that is what they want, but they will take $20 a month. A hospital is also under strict federal regulations to not share any of your information with any outside sources. So if you send your financial information so if you send it, it will go no further.

I worked for a large medical group and we had a charity care program. Just complete the forms, if you qualify...great. If not, I'm sure they will more than willing to work out a payment plan for you, depending what you owe they may adjust the balance.
Alot of hospitals are "not for profit organizations" so they will help you out.
I don't know what state you live in but have you tried to enroll your husband in a Medical Assistance program?

you're making a aspect at the same time as talking about areas which have state owned hospitals, how ever no longer all communities are so fortunate. interior a one hundred mile radius of my residing house each and every medical institution is administered privately. they are required to take care of those with urgent existence threatening issues yet aren't any further required to help those in preventative drugs. with out human beings get entry to to preventative drugs, the final inhabitants finally ends up paying. it’s a capture 22 that neither side has stumbled on a valid answer for.

some work places will have fellow employees bring in new or gentally used items and then auction the items off in a silent auction( leaving items out 1 week 2 weeks tops ) then donates the money to the family in need. Or some jobs even have financial assinstance programs. Maybe you could borrow money from a friend, or maybe your husband can mow yards , paint, or do other jobs for cash under the table

you pay them what you feel is reasonable without going broke and putting yourself in a bad position as long as you make that pmt, every month they cant touch you no matter what they tell you a lot of people use scare tactics to thier clients you just say "this is all i can afford take it or leave it' then say goodbye and hang up the phone. if they keep harrasing you call the bbb(better business bureau)
