The Yankees will.....Bobby Abreu is a great fit as a Yankee, and the addition of Lidle is always better than Ponson, and also we got rid of Chacon for Craig Wilson who is a def. upgrade from Andy Phillips (offensively).....The reason why the Tigers will NOT win the WS is beacause 1st of all they're very inexperienced, and second of all they didn't make a move to bring in a good bat.....Sean Casey isn't exactly the greatest bat.....but the Tigers deff. have to improve their batting because their Starters are solid and their relievers are also solid.....But another thing, the Tigers can't beat any1 who's record is close to theirs......Their Winning percentage against like the Yankees, Red Sox, White Sox, and Twins is under 500......and those teams are all that the Tigers will face in the playoffs......Soo Yankees in '06 baby!!!!!!!!

Its the Mets year. The only team to beat them was the Boston Red Sox. I think the Yankees will take care of the light work for us.

evn tho i HATE the yankees, getting bobby abreu and cory lidle was HUGE, and thy will probably take the AL East and go to the ALCS (I just pissed off a whole lot of Red Sox fans in saying that, but the Red Sox didn`t do anything to improve their team at the trade deadline). thy wil most likely play the Tigers, hard to pick a winner out of those two. but i'd say the Tigers will go all the way, cuz thy having one of those storybook kind of seaons, just like the White Sux did last year. Mets will take the NL EASILY. i'll say Tigers over Mets in 6 in the world series.

I think the yankees have a chance, but I am a little worried about their pitching. Their hitting is amazing which makes them so good.
My choice right now has to be the Detroit Tigers. With Justin Verlander, Jeremy Bonderman, and Joel Zumaya. Their hitting has been great with Guillen, Ordonez, and Granderson. They have a .667 winning % right now, which is the best in the majors. I think they have the best shot.
