Who believes the recent UK plot was fabricated?

There seems to be an element that doesn't believe there are terrorists trying to specifically kill innocent civillians, and that it must be a government conspiracy. If this is your belief, please indicate how you have come to this conclusion.

Scarlet, maybe they were tracking these individuals for months because they knew when they where going to strike & wanted to get as much info from them before acting, also do you really think that British law enforcement was in on a massive plot to help mid term elections in the USA? Yes there are terrorists arrested who don't get this publicity, but perhaps they aren't involved in a plot of this magnitude.

Muslim extremists have been practicing jihad (murder) for about 40 years now, with much success. I find it difficult to understand why people don't recognize the facts. Perhaps it is comfortable for some people to ignore facts and explain murderous behavior away with conspiracy theories. I simply cannot understand this type of reasoning--perhaps the truth is too dreadful for some to comprehend.

That a person, who accepts a task from a religious cleric, who has promised him or her with redemption in a Paradise with 72 virgins, and that person undertakes a mission to murder innocent men, women, and babies is beyond all reason.

Although I find it hard to believe the British government would be involved in such a massive conspiracy, I also find the timing of this suspect. I think we have to pay close attention to the details and keep asking lots of questions. Why haven't we seen video of the plotters? Pictures have been very few and of poor quality.
I am not sure how making women throw out makeup and lotion makes us safer though. That is our government putting the scare/fear machine into high gear. There is a profile for these terrorist types.

I agree totally, the world started to notice the USA and UK"s attitude towards war in Lebanon, and how they are totally pro Israel, and Israel is doing a great job killing, injuring, hurting and damaging Lebanon and it's people so this came to divert the world's eyes and to remind people about Muslim extremists which include Hezbollah,

this has been 'investigated' for months so why did the alert just go to red yesterday? seems really convenient to the mid term elections to have a terrorist plot. There are terrorists busted everyday that we dont hear about so it seems so much similar to 911 as a way to remind people we 'need' bush after all his **** ups

oh yeah - these attacks aren't just about killing innocents - they are directed at getting back at the bush government for something none of us know about.

mmm they could have been a diverison so that some others that will cause real damage could slip in while the world was looking in the other direction..but I guess only time will tell...
