Wow! Wanna turn this SmileyCat into a FrownyCat..call me a name and I'll be the first one to grab a bottle of soap and play with the bubbles in their mouth. There's no reason for name calling. It's disrespectful..and will lower my opinion of someone before a beat of a heart! My mother taught me well when I was little. Even if I was arguing with my little brother as kids and I called him "A Jerk, or any negetivity, I'd find myself scrapping the irovy soap bar off from underneath of my top teeth. I sure learned quick! (At least that ivory doesn't take like apples)
And I can't help you on why some woman may like being called that. I'm guessing.... Poor home life, lower class in friends around them, low self-esteem..will take whatever attention they can get...I don't know. Maybe that's how they act..so they know it's the truth! All I know is that they have issues if they like that!
I personally find more gratification in being called
Hey..Gorgeous and Yes Beautiful..what do you want? My nicknames that my boyfriend gave me! Now that's respect!
Have a nice weekend!

In my experience in having such women as friends, it is because they have a very low self-esteem and feel like this is the only thing that they're worth. They feel that if they're not getting the attention, then they're not loved, even though it is negative attention. What really sickens me is the women whose boyfriends/husbands are physically abusive toward them and they keep going back to them and putting themselves in danger because they never think they can find anything better, someone who will actually treat them like a human being. But then if a woman *doesn't* put up with the abuse, she's called headstrong, disobedient, and a b!+ch anyway, so it's like a no-win situation!

some women tolerate it because of low self esteem. Some women tolerate it or even like it because they have realized that you can only be degraded and offended if you let yourself feel that way, and have figured out unlike others that b-tch, ho, s-lut and c-nt are simply words, and nothing else. If i cease to be upset by them, then eventually the people that use them to hurt me will realize that there is no use in trying to degrade me by using them. And amazingly enough more women than men use those words to degrade their fellow females. I call myself a c-nt, why? because I have one, and I am not ashamed of it. Sure its also called a vagina, but that word means "sheath for a sword," I would much rather have a ****. Sometimes I call myself a b-tch and a s-lut, why? because I can, its my body, my mind, my mouth, I can call myself whatever I want, its called freedom of choice, and since nobody can take that away from me, i will continue to be proud of myself and the words and names I have taken back for me. Does that mean that I call other women b-tches, c-nts and s-luts? Not at all, only when the women I am speaking with are as comfortable and enlightened as me about the ways in which men and other women try to keep us down, we realize that only we as individuals can make the choice to feel upset about something, and a mere word is not going to do that to us. If woman is one who is offended by the words, then I will not use them to describe her, as I said freedom of choice, she is choosing to be offended by mere words, and I respect her choice.
I don;t find it pathetic actually, only when a woman who has low self esteem is allowing it because she feels as though she is no better than a word she has yet to reclaim. If you have taken back the words for yourself, than it is nothing short of empowering.

They do it because they have very low self esteem. They want attention by any means possible, and they will tolerate anything to get it. It sucks though because it gives guys the idea that it's okay to disrespect women, but it isn't.
If you watn a b**** or a h** you'll get one, but you'll never get a lady by calling her a b**** or a h**. How you treat women will determine what type you'll get. Or in other words you get what you give.
Blessings.

Poor self esteem to begin with... and then possibly being told they deserve this and should be happy to even have a man in their lives...the emotional abuse can cause a woman's self esteem to be almost non-existent. "You're lucky you have me because no one else would want you"... after a while a woman will start to believe this and it is just a downward spiral with the man being in control of everything. I would never be with a man who put me down by calling me those names. I have more self respect than that.

Who says women are tolerating those kind of verbal abuse? No women like it. But some women have no strength and have fear to show their objection. Some women smash their face who ever called them by those words. If any one says to me I'll call the police and made them a complaints under verbal abuse law and throw them into the jail.

then why do it? They tolerate what will keep the peace and choose their battles. 'actually like it' is way over the top. Who would want to be put down and disgraced with remarks and thoughts of others?

They don't know any better. No one told them being a lady is desirable. No one taught them any self esteem. I married my current husband, for one of many reasons, because someone asked me if I was a ho and he hit them.

Just part of the culture they grew up in, I suppose. They're more prone to tolerating such degradation.
Dunno really, but if someone calls me that, they're getting their *** kicked.
