Do ever feel like you've been around your significant other too much? My fiance is usually only home on weekends because he works away from home but lately(about a month) hes been working close to home and home everyday. For the last week we have been on eachothers nerves like you wouldn't believe. I know its because were not used to so much time together. I was just wondering if anybody else goes through this.

Don't listen to the people who are saying that there is something wrong with you or your relationship because of THIS. That is a totally normal feeling you are having. Everyone needs their space and some alone time. It's healthy. When you start feeling overwhelmed by his presence, just get out and do something for you. You will come back feeling much better, I promise!

I went through this when I was married. My ex was gone every weekend for work, and it allowed me to do my own thing (shop, sleep late, etc). When he quit traveling, we drove each other CRAZY. I would imagine that he feels the same way you do. While you enjoy your time together, you both need time alone. Tell him how you feel. I am sure that he will understand.

Everyone needs some alone time.

I've been married for 32 years and my wife an I long ago agreed to have different personal hobbies, etc. so we can have enough alone time to decompress.

It's always worked for us - even during the years when I worked from home.

Talk to him. I am sure he feels the same way. You guys just need to get adjusted to each other. You should set up some time where you both get to be alone. There is nothing wrong with that.

No, and I feel sorry for you. My wife of 15 years and I spend as much time as possible together. We work on our vehicles together, clean house together, cook together, vacation together, and cherish every moment we can share as the very best of friends. Maybe that's your problem - he's not your best friend.

Yes. I did. You just need to get use to each other. That's all. It's just a routine change.
