Sounds like the bushes are gone or going on the motor... but that they BOTH (all??) do this may point to some other problem. I would expect one to have done so - but if it is them both... how are they connected? Do they share a power-source? Have you dismantled the decks at any point? Or spilt anything on or near tehm?

Do you use them professionally or as a 'home' set-up?

Take the platter off, run them, and see what happens. Take a general look inside (with the power disconnected). Are there signs of the motor having burned out? Is there any debris near to the motors? Take them to a reputable audio/DJ dealer for a service.

There r 2 possible reasons.
1.ur Tone arm is worn out.
2.If u r usin Stanton Cartridge along with XL 500 it sometimes makes the needle to jump.Change the Cartridge to make it move smoother.
Try with these 2. Cos i feel that these r the only possiblities. If u still can't fix it..... Chuck this old crap n buy better stuff.

The weight has shifted... could be things already mentioned, could be dirt or some sort of buildup.
