I know the PERFECT lizard for you!
I once wanted a lizard and we went to a pet shop that was a little out of our way, but they specialised in lizards and snakes. We asked there about the lizards and which would be perfect for us. He took us to the Bearded Dragons and said that they grow to be very friendly.. they are quite small when young but grow to be mid-size. He had however had a very large one that had grown very big, he showed us him and how friendly he was.. it was amazing. He said if we got them when they were young, we could get them used to being picked up (in the cage) then eventually you could hold them outside the cage, he told us that his lizards at home sometimes run around his house because he lets them out and puts them back in before he goes to sleep. I read up about them and they are not too hard to care for either...

Bearded Dragons are by far the best people friendly lizards available for pet ownership. Unlike iguanas, Beardies don't need to be held constantly to remain friendly. They also live in a very dry and warm environment which reduces (but does not eliminate) the risk of salmonella. They are people friendly, do not bite or slap with their tails and when they are adults you can carry them out with you for an hour or two at a time without risk to their health. Read up on them and you will be convinced that they are by far the best lizards to own as pets.

You might think twice about the Iguana. They can grow up to 6' long and easily live up to 20 years. Plus most of them have a bad temperment. Also Problems with females egg binding and males being aggressive during breeding season. A fellow Iguana owner had her finger biten off by her male Iguana during breeding season.

any would be nice except for a iguana because their are taken from the wild, held captive and can grow to an unspeakable size. also if Ur going 2 get 1 try 2 get 2 so when Ur busy it will have someone 2 keep it company.

Iguanas! I love iguanas. There's a great picture of an iguana on the site below, but I can't directly link to the pic:

(you might also e-mail the people who run this site, since they know a lot about reptiles and amphibians).

the best thing to do is go to the pet store and ask to interact with the snakes and lizards then figure out which one you like.

I would recommend the crested gecko. They are very friendly, don't need special lighting, heatheat source or large tanks, and don't have the ugly tails that other geckos have.

I even have been to Costa Rica and that i've got seen them. The are quite quickly and run around the water on their hind legs. once you spot one you yell, "Jesus Christ! What contained in the Hell replaced into that?"
