Get them sculptured instead of using nail tips. The sculptured ones are made of all acrylic, and don't use those tips that can sometimes crack or break. They look more natural, but a lot of salons don't like doing them because it uses up more acrylic verses using the acrylic over the tips. It might be a bit more expensive too.

Used to be a nail tech and would recommend gel, they also look more natural if done right, but i am afraid all are not very good for your nails, keep on for a short time, also apply nail strengthener as it starts to grow, helps a bit

I had my big toe nails done, as they have never grown right , and ended up nearly losing what nail I had. I would not recommend any sort of extensions. Try working with what you have got...with a regular manicure.

Don't do it, they ruin your natural nails. Try to grow your own. OPI sells a product called Nail Envy which helps natural nails to grow. Try it, it works. Also use a nail oil at night before bed.

Ick! Don't! I hate nail extentions. They look pretty, but it hurts like hell when you have to have them taken off (they just peel it off with another fake nail-- ouch!) and your natural nail is so thin underneath, it's impossible to grow out.

They all damage your nails so only keep them on for a short time.

my cousin is a manicurist and doesn't reccommend it. it like dires out your nails, so they become dry and brittle nd break of not long after you get them off. your nails need to breathe, and putting fake nails on top of them cuts off the supply of air.
