I want to know what the inseam is on most pants, also if anyone happens to know the inseams on gaps xlong pants that would be great too!

Guessing you are asking about women's here.
Average lengths for inseams in women's clothing:
31" or 32" for Regular
28" or 29" for Petite
34" for Tall
36" for X-Tall
Sometimes it's a half in not a full. Like 31 1/2" on the regular.
I don't know about Gap size charts, but I would guess that xlong would be around a 36" inseam.

32" inseam is average so anything over is long. A 33" inseam will work well for you since you like your pants long and they will drag but that's okay cause that's the style. Go ahead and wear 5 or 6" platforms with them to lengthen your body and your pants should still drag a little. If they don't drag, lower the heels. Pants should cover your shoes.

I am petite with a 29 in inseam. I just measured the last two pairs of jeans that I purchased and Charter Club had a 29 inch inseam and Eddie Bauer had a 31 inch inseam. Both are 10P curvy fit.

Seems pretty long . . . . In men's clothing, 32" inseam is standard, 34" being long. Seems like that would be very long if you're 5'5", even if you have very high heels.

Most women's pants are 32". In most places, "Tall" or "Long" are 34". At gap, extra long pants are 35". At www.alloy.com and www.thebuckle.com, you can get up to 37" inseam. Trust me on this one... I'm 6'2 and have found that shopping for jeans is an endless source of frustration.

The average inseams for a woman is 29-30"
I have a 33" inseam and so I need to buy talls, even though I'm not overly tall (5'8) I just have long legs.

Generally the average is 32 inches. Long jeans tend to be 34 inches.

These all seem long, my 5'6" daughter has a 30" inseam and she's taller than most of her friends (fully grown older teens). I would say it's more like 29-30"
