Emotion triumphs over logic??

I've focused on this very subject in my own life for many years. After much thought, I've reached a conclusion.

I follow my heart to lead me to an interest, then I use my head to best pursue that interest.

This 'philosophy' has led to success in my personal and professional lives. By following my heart to lead me to a subject or goal, I know I'm into it. I always work on things I like.
By using my head to logically acheive these goals, I acheive in a systematic, logical fashion that leads to success.

So, to answer your question, it's not more important to follow either your head or your heart, but rather, both! By letting your heart direct your interests, then letting your head focus your efforts on learning about things you like, you get the best of both worlds.

More important to follow intuition.**

Some current studies show that people follow their emotions over logic. Surprise, surprise. If you have a good heart you should follow it. That does not mean that logic needs be ignored.

**I believe, beyond all doubt, that one should learn to follow intuition before heart. There is knowing that surpasses thought and emotions. Life only falls into place when this sense of faith is finally realized.

The sense of faith, acted upon, will never fail your heart; whereas the heart and head can both lead to some very sorry (short lived) triumphs.

Head, your head is the most powerful toy out there and of course, logic beats all. Emotion is logic, really if you think about it. One leads to another. Remember, your heart doesn't think for you, your mind does. Your heart is just another alternative, it gives you a path to choose and your mind just thinks about all the consequences.

No, make your heart and your head have a conference and come 2 a joint decision. Your heart along with, logic usually makes the best decisions.

Unfortunately..... I feel (others will disagree) that it is more important (IN TODAY'S world) to follow your head... not the heart. The Head is objective reasoning while the heart is subjective reasoning

Each person has to find his/her balance between the two. If you want to be a scientist or logician, you favor the head.

If you want to be any kind of artist, you favor the heart.

When people don't have a balance they go to dangerous extremes like Kurt Cobain or Hitler.

The head and heart need to work together.

My heart pumps blood to my head why? so that i can think...
My head makes my heart pump (giving electrical impulses and regulates my heart beats) so that it remains alive to think. We have to learn to think.. think for ourselves... but certain situations in our lives do warrant the interference of following our heart also. Again ....... do not generalize please........ take decisions according to situations and circumstances. If you are an investor and you invest in a company because your father worked for it throughout his life........ you are eligible to be called a fool... here you have to use your head. But again if you avoid investing in a company because you find it violates environmental law then certainly you have used your heart in avoiding to invest in such a company.
