Its a pity the sun didn't send a massive heat wave and turn it into a desert!
The British occupied my Country for over 800 years as far as I am concerned Good riddens to you Bastard monarch loyalists! Oh and by the way get the hell out of Northern Ireland and take all your Ulster inbred prods with you....Chucaigh ar la!

Well first the sun isn't stupid. You may be for making that stupid statement.
Second English is the language. The empire was British.
People from England are British not English.
I don't think you would understand what happened to the British empire if I explained it to you so I won't bother.

I though it was the British Empire . At school we were taught the British were thieves to steal most of the world.
I thought the phrase "the sun never sets on the British Empire" meant that the empire was so big there was always a place where the sun was shining.
It's actually a shame Chingis Khan never got as far as here....

Because the British are wankers. Especially the Britons in Wales, Scotland, Northern England, and Brittany. Actually, the Angles, Saxons, Jutes, and Danes in London are even worse. Actually the worse are the Normans who created modern England. William the Conqueror wasn't even English. He was a French speaking Viking from Norway. The sun set because the Norweigan French speaking English monarchs are complete lunatics. Just look at the Nazi King of England and Prince Harry.

Research the History of the Windsors - but do not rely on official sources only. But even if You may find some astonishing and upsetting information never heard or read or seen before, You won't be sure whether you came closer to the truth about the link between the fiery - not stupid - sun and the hidden power of the Windsors.

Because all empires eventually fall apart. They find it too difficult/expensive to maintain their control. Also the people of the Empire, not unnaturally wanted to rule themselves - well all except Bermuda. It was the British Empire, not English Empire BTW.

It's wonderful the depths of ignorance some people can plumb. Like the British could occupy Ireland for 800 years when Britain has existed as a political entity for 299 years. You'll be telling me Connolly was Oirish next!
