Hi Carobygirl this is not an answer to this question, but rather the one you sent me an email about. I tried to answer your email but Yahoo is telling me that you have not confirmed your email address.

Driving is Vegas is not a big problem except on the Strip (Las Vegas Blvd). When we travel in Vegas we try to take side streets as much as possible to avoid the strip. The town is laid out on a good grid system with several streets which run parallel to the strip, and many intersecting cross streets. Travel is usually easier when you take Paradise, then just take the cross street closest to the hotel/casino you wish to visit. Another thing we do is to park at a central hotel's valet parking then travel to different hotels in the area on foot or monorail. Valet parking at all the Vegas hotels is free. A good example is to park at MGM. From MGM, Excaliber, New York, New York, Mandalay Bay, Tropicana, Hooters, M&M Store, and Coke Museum are all easily accessible on foot. Something I would suggest is get a map of the strip, then plan the hotels and strip attractions you would like to visit in blocks. Vegas is a great town, I hope you enjoy your visit. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me, and I will answer as soon as I can,

Have a great day,

We are HOOKED on the Aladdin/soon to be Planet Hollywood Spice Buffet. It's about a mile long, with every type ethnic food you can imagine. There's also a Mexican restaurant in the Desert Shoppes at the Aladdin that is GREAT. I've tried the Treasure Island seafood buffet and it was nowhere near as good as the Spice Buffet. Now, for a champagne brunch we went to MGM Grand and had mimosas - and it was awesome. Also, they have the little book there called 24/7 and it had a coupon for steak and lobster at the Stardust. That was pretty good AND reasonable. We plan to try Wynn's in two weeks. You can also try this website below.

It's not in downtown but it is the BEST food in Vegas. Awesome staff and atmosphere as well. The place is called McMullen's Irish Pub. It's by The Orleans hotel. I highly recommend it.

Not really for a meal, but The Golden Gate Casino has the BEST 99 Cent Shrimp Cocktail!!! It is loaded with shrimp, not lettuce like other places do. They also have the best cocktail sauce. If I am shooting craps downtown at Binion's, I will stumble over to the Golden Gate and have a few for lunch. YUMMIE!!!
