been around,cats ,dogs,horses,snakes, all my life but i guess after several years of prescription steroids it has killed my immune system

i got my lil outlaw a snake for his birthday, i put it around my neck and broke out with hives on my hands and neck

It could be very possible. I was outside a few summers ago, and when filling the kids pool, I stepped on this snake (a brownish grey color with yellow diamonds going down his back) and ever since, there is this spot on the bottom of my foot that still itches like crazy, and it's like the size of a dime maybe. It's not a skin disorder or athelet's foot, already been to the doctor for that, infact he says he dosen't know what it is. So I really think it could be possible. Everyone thinks I'm nut to think it could have been because of that snake, but there really isn't no other possibility.

That would be extremely unusual. I am also allergic to life and have no problems with my snake. I am however, allergic to most commercial substrates. I have switched to coconut fiber and it does not seem to bother me.

Welllll It could if you are allergic go scales but no I don't think so.
