No it is not a disease / virus. You can become a better speller by practice. Get a speller from school and do the work for that lesson, write words out 3x. Use a dictionary, use wordperfect and write words as they sound. Get lessons on line and do them.

Hi !
This is Robinka. I am a student reading in class eight. Well, I am going to answer your question.
Don't be worried if you are not good in spelling. As, practice makes the man perfect, so be much more active in correcting your spelling. At first you have to write the spelling according to it's pronounciation. Just pronounce the word once and think which letters are needed to form that word . And for better spelling you can sometime check out dictionaries. And go one seeing dictionery in your leisure time. And what lesson you are going to read underline the difficult words with pencil and write once in some copy once by looking and then next time go on writing until you didn't memorize it.
Ok , i just give you soem idea! I hope you follow it!

There is no such thing as a spelling disease or virus; thus there is no cure. You simply have to use a dictionary whenever you think your spelling may be incorrect or a word has been used incorrectly. Try having one next to you when you watch the nightly news; it is amazing how many times the writers and/or newsanchors misuse the English language.

You may have a case of dyslexia, if you find yourself mixing up letters or numbers sometimes. Though it's likely too mild to be diagnosed as a real disability. (Around 80% of people have some mild form of dyslexia, only the severity of the problem constitutes how it's classified.)
Other than that, just practice. Spelling improves the more you work at it- go back to grade school techniques if you have to. Make a list each week of the words you tend to spell wrong a lot, and strive to improve so that by the end of the week, you can spell them perfectly.

If your spelling problem is a disease then there are a great deal of people infected including myself. I just keep practicing and I carry a thesaurus/dictionary so I can use and learn to properly spell new words

Not unless you're dyslexic or something. You can only get better with practice. I've found that reading alot can help with this, and when you look up words that you don't know the meaning to, you'll also increase your vocabulary.
