I agree with Dave T.
Becks needs to be moved from that position. Playing there he is limited to attempting to hit those 90 yard cross field passes (that are his forte) but in doing so totally cutting Gerrard, Lampard et al out of the game. Free kicks are also his "thing" but having a player on the pitch to do this alone (he cant tackle to save his life) is a luxury few teams can afford, especially us (England).

So, yes, drop him if only to give some one else a chance.

YAWN how many situations is this question going to be asked the information are he can no longer play ninety minutes for England as he time-honored interior the cup he's not enjoying sufficient first team soccer he is going to play soccer in a minor league he's greater involved in his advertisement artwork now his performances these days have been good for Madrid yet can he shop on absolutely everyone grow to be calling for him to be dropped after the international cup fiasco and his Madrid variety has enormously plenty constantly been consistent and good i'm no longer completely anti Beckham if he have been to be called up he must be a bench participant in basic terms it's going to be a shame if he can no longer get to one hundred caps after being so close to he continues to be an incredible passer and set piece participant yet I relatively have severe reservations as to his wellbeing

Beckham was a brilliant player, but Lennon posed much more of a threat on the right hand side in the World Cup.

People will laugh at this, but come end of the season Pennant will be England's right-sided midfielder.

Not sure about dropped but certainly moved from that position. Lennon plays much better there and Beckham, if he remains in the squad, should drop back to occupy the position Gary Neville (who is useless) has.

I think he will be today although I think its incredibly harsh. People have short memories. After the first 2 games of the World Cup everyone was praising him as the Messiah again due to some pinpoint crosses. FOotball fans are very fickle.

A definite NO for me! Yes he's old and all. But isn't it great to have Beckham on the field.

No. If McLaren does drop him then he's bowing to media pressure. Anybody watching Beckham last year for Real would have him in any team.

i;ve said no on another page, they cant leave out david with all his skill some say he's slowed up well did anyone notice he didn't look too well during the world cup games and should be commended for playing on as a very dedicated man that he is, they will want him back and real soon.

yes. his unability to take on defenders and go past them caused him his place as england don't have a world-class target man to convert his crosses to goals. Peter Crouch might be pretty useful but he has to improve a lot. So for now, a more direct player like Lennon should be preferred.

Only if he is not performing on the pitch. People are so quick to forget what he did for england , won games on his own sometimes.
