OMG u genius! I work in Superdrug and I keep asking my colleagues. I have this vision of a woman saying "Golly you smell nice, what IS that?"
WOMAN 2: "Ah well it's my new scented tampons."
WOMAN 1: "I never realised periods could smell so good!"

Okay, so I'm twisted, but you have to realise, we previously had an offer where if you bought two boxes of tampons, you got a pair of earrings free.

WOMAN 1: "Where di you get those earrings? they're lovely!"
WOMAN 2: "They came free with my tampons..."
(fairly embarrassing...)

Anyway, I digress.. Point is, realistically, they have no function. It's not like they're really going to make any difference to anything once used, and you're very unlikely to use them to lightly fragrance your handbag...

P.S. Smell of fish??? You guys either have something wrong with you or know someone who does... I certainly have no experience of that!!! If you change your pad/tampon regularly enough there should be no odour...

yet another question for the a at the same time as. I actually have regularly wondered aloud about an similar ingredient and got here to the top that there is not any valid element.i am going to in straightforward words assume that women folk who sense the want to purchase them have a intense clinical difficulty and could truly be contained in the waiting room of an OB/GYN no longer identifying to purchase scented tampons or those female sprays to lead them to sense 'clean.' it truly is what it truly is and including in a heady scent ain't gonna help. a minimum of no longer in my no longer so humble opinion.

Absolutely none.

Tampax et al want to make us feel like a period is a dirty nasty smelly thing. Hell, if it's dirty and smelly, then you're using the wrong kind of product - half an hour with an Always 'nappy' starts to whiff, yet 6 hours with a cloth pad and i'm as fresh as a daisy.

Can't help thinking they've got shares in companies selling meds for easing all the yi and such like that all the scented rubbish wil cause!

To give a chick a really bad vaginal infection so they antibiotic companies make more money.. it's a big conspiracy you know!

"Women should NEVER use deodorant feminine hygiene products. The camouflaging scents are created with chemicals. Many woman are very sensitive to minute amounts of some chemicals. A woman may not be aware that her tampons are causing a problem, since the infection or irritation may not present themselves until several days after her menstrual period is over. If a woman is experiencing a problem with odor during her menstrual period, this most likely means she isn't changing her sanitary napkin or tampon as often as she should. Odor is usually caused by bacteria, which need time to develop. She may also have an infection that is most active when she is menstruating because of the presence of menstrual fluid."

The point of a scented tampon is to hide the smell down there while you are on your period. After awhile especially during a heavy period you do start to stink down there and the scented tampons mask the smell of blood and everything else.

There is no point it just makes women think that they are doing a little something extra to stay fresh. I think that women should not use them who knows what it is they use to make those things scented and I am scared that it will give me an infection of some sort. I do not even like to use flavored condoms for fear that it will give me some type of infection.

I have no idea! i thought that anything scented would irritate "down there". I personally wouldn't use them, i mean who wants to smell a tampon? GROSS!

So you don't smell. That doesn't make seance, when you use a tampon there is no odder because blood is in a tampon before it leaves your body.
