First of all, go to college and major in english/education or literature. You must make at least a 3.0 in all your english courses, which is a B. Sometimes it depends on the university. Well, it depends on where you live when it comes to the salary. In the state of Sc a starting teacher only makes between 30-35,000, a year. You must have great communication skills. in addition, you must declare a minor of your choose. At the university I attend you must earn 159 credit hours. Part of you courses will be education and part of it is english. You can always go through the back door and be a plain english major. You must pass the Praxis II English test to be a certified english teacher. I will get back with you on the web pages.

Contact your local school board. Do not tell them that is for homework and act as if you are really looking into it. They should be able to guide you with requirements, salary, etc. You might be able to visit their website.

I know my local board has all of that information. Your might also. There should be also certification information to find. This would have to be done trough your state's dept of education. From there your would have to choose an university program, so that's where you get your course list from.

It is not an easy assignment, but it's something I had to do personally, and there will be some running around (virtually). I hope this helps & Good luck!

Any time you're gaining knowledge of about human beings and their cultures you're giving your self historic past to be a more effective acceptable instructor. i could contact a community college and discover out what prerequisite coaching they prefer scholars to have previous to getting into their facility. reliable success!
