I have a 79 Chevy K-5 Blazer 4x4.
When I put her in 2wd or 4low shes ok till i get off the gas and at a certain rpm i hear and feel a grinding and when it slows down enough I hear and feel a thud and the grinding is gone. I dont get that in 4 high so I keep it there.

Anyone have an idear wut it culd be?

Prbably a broken motor mount. The grinding you hear is probably the fan or something else rubbing. Check this by putting the blazer in 4-low and in gear, with hood open, and left foot on brakes, give it some gas while looking at engine. It should "twist" and raise up 1 or two inches. If it twists way to far, like it's going to jump up out, the motor mount is your problem.

when you change out of 4 wheel drive to 2WD. put the car in reverse and drive backwards real slow for about 10 feet and listen for a click coming from the hubs. then try 2wd and i think your grinding and thudding will be gone
