First you think you would have loved the job. You do not actually know. Secondly now you have an idea of the kind of job you would like. Watch carefully now. Do not be surprised if a even better one turns up. Do not be so hard on yourself. You could not have chosen differently. You did what you felt was correct. Give it time and trust that the better thing will happen. It will. It always does. Always.

That is a tough one, but you need to get yourself through this, because otherwise, you may never want to look for another job, or approach every future opportunity with despair. I believe that such feelings get picked up, and jeopardize further chances. Try to find a job with similar perks and guidelines, and make sure that you don't come through whiney when interviewing for other positions. It was one moment in your life. How long do you expect to punish you for an error in judgment that you think you may have made? You live and learn, and since you cannot turn back the clock, it is time to make peace with that. Right now, you seem to be your worst enemy!

See if it is still open. If it is, reapply. If not look for a similar job in the same field. If you don't find any open jobs in the same field, still go ahead and put your resume out there to those companies so they know you are interested and when an opening rises they will already have your resume on hand.

I had the same thing happen...I'm going to call thema and let them know I have reconsidered and if there is another opening I would really like to be considered. If they like you enough to offer a job once maybe they will again

Is the job opening still available? You might want to check to see or see if you can find something similar to that job. Good luck.

Get on with your life, and don't look back at regrets. Look at a rosy future ahead and don't make the same mistake twice. 'Don't cry over spilled milk'.
