Why terrorist chose to blow up planes again?

Many reasons cause terrorists to target the US. The main reason is because of America's strong and open support for Israel. In the past, Israel has and still is using disproportionate force against its Arab neighbors, particularly the Palestinians, and more recently, the Lebanese. Middle Easterners also deem Israel an illegitimate country.
Jihads who want to preserve their culture also hate America's widespread, "self proclaimed superpower" influence.
As for why terrorists have recently targeted American-bound planes again, I'm not sure why. But some have speculated that they want to re-create something similar to 9-11, as its fifth anniversary approaches.

Hey Tony,

I seem to side with TJ as having the most coherent answer.

I have often said, we stick our noses and our arses where they don't belong!

We are in the Middle East for one reason and one reason only:

OIL! We need it and they got it!

For MANY years there has been strife and civil war throughout the continent of Africa. Are we there? Nope!

If we piss off all Muslims in Arab countries, why don't we ever hear about Jordan. They're in the thick of it and not even a peep!

Today, they re-opened the Beirut airport! the first two planes in, The Royal Airlines of Jordan.

We should take their approach, do nothing, say nothing and let them blow each other up. USA has been a country for 230 years. Iraq and Iran have been countries for 5000 years. During this time they have been in more wars then we've even helped with.

400 years ago, we were putting up Tee Pee's.
200 years ago, we were putting up Log Cabins.

3000 years ago, Europe and the Middle East were building mountains of carved stone!

And we are superior?

Nope, I am with Jordan. Sit down, Shut up and reap the rewards when they are all gone!

Sorry to be so cynical,

James in San Diego

The USA government's external affairs policy.

They should stop to try and fix everything in the world and stick their noses where it doesnt belong.

Thats the basics of it...

Supplying weapons to small countries is also on the list.

GOOD QUESTION! It's a question that our government should try to solve, not just try to kill them all!

The more terrorists you kill, the more terrorists that are created. We need to take a new approach.

Because they want an Islamic ruled world. It isn't just the US they attack. They attack any country without Muslim rule or isn't Muslim enough: Iraq, Spain, US, Saudi Arabia, Israel, anywhere.
