It may well be. Bush knew the premise for invading Iraq was trumped up. He and his military advisers and Cabinet thought the "Shock an Awe" invasion of Iraq would topple Saddam, that the Iraqi people would be grateful. Thousands were killed, Bush did not expect any thing but gratitude. Mission Accomplished! We would have a base of operations in Iraq.
He did not count on the eventual resistance to his plan and the backlash over the 'collateral damage' or to the indications that our occupation was not welcome.
He and our Secretary of State deliberately drug their heels as Israel, with American munitions flattened Lebanon. It is widely believed by many people , not all Muslims, that Bush is provoking Syria and Iran into a major conflict with the US.
The immediate threat of terrorist plots ( the planned airplane bombs) originated in London, and our ally? Pakistan, not the Mid-East. But the screwed up plans of the terrorists will be sufficient for Bush to make hay while the sun shines. He will use this event and the apprehension of the people to further bolster plans of having a strong military presence in the Mid East. When and if he does, China and Russia won't be inclined to step aside.
We will be in conflict for many years, I don't think our military
personnel will becoming home, or that we will feel quite safe ever again.

I dont think something bad will happen - I KNOW something bad will happen.
In this day and age stuff like terrorisim is inevitable and largely unstopable. You just have to accecpt that sometimes no one knows the plans until its too late - you win some, you lose some.
We lost on 9/11, we won yesterday. Its going to continue. Some years it'll be worse, some better but no matter where you go in the world youre not going to escape it so you jsut have to get used to it and know that chances are you wont be the person walking by when the next bomb goes off.

To some this is going to be a self fullfilling prophecy. Just because some guys wrote about the end of the world do not think that we are incapable of changing a turn of events. Bottom line is those who strongly believe in their religion and also believe everyone else is wrong and they are right is what creates war in the first place. I am sorry but when one's belief makes them hate another because they are not the same it is not humane. We are all people not animals we are free to think and believe how we choose. I wish evangeilist types would not be so concerned with *saving* instead be concerned with treating others with respect . Who cares who has all the truth if it means hating one another . Just because one group may believe something else, does not weaken another group. No we are not all going to get along perfectly but we can co -exist.

unfprtunately, yes more and more will continue to happen, attacks and attempted attacks, until eventually it becomes nuclear, all of this was written about in the bible, dont mean to sound like a preacher, as it happens i rarely go to church, i just know the bible and believe what is written in it, it speaks of the war and how some one will come and help restore the peace of the middle east, but beware, he is not for our good, this is suppose to be the anti-christ, then we will have 3 1/2 yrs of false peace and then 3 1/2 yrs of total chaos and it would not end lest the lord cut short this great trib. period, at this time the dead in christ shall rise 1st, there will be 1000 yrs of rebuilding the earth and then FINALLY the good lord above kicks satans *** and as they say, the rest is history.....go read your bible, it will happen again ONLY WORSE, you heard they said those attempts 2 days ago would have rivaled even the chaos of 9-11, be prepared, and remember just because we dont go to church, or read the word daily doesnt stop your ticket from being punched to go to heaven, all that really matters is what you believe in your heart, through faith we are saved, not deeds....and yes KUDOS TO THE UK for saving the day, way to go tony blair!!!!

depends on what you mean by 'something bad'. I'm sure something bad happens in USA every day ... people are murdered, gas goes up another 20 cents etc.
if you're talking specifically about terrorism ... it probably will happen again eventually.

It is inevitable. It will also be home grown terrorists similar to the ones England just caught.
We just need to stay vigilant and not let the cowardly terrorists change our overall way of life.
