Yes it will work the only thing you really have to worry about is when you change that hardware if you have WIN XP it will ask you for reactivate your windows and you may have to call it in to microsoft so they can give you the key. But computer will walk you throught it.
As far as websites for parts there is nothing like www.newegg.com
They are the best out there

Yes the data will still be accessable however you may ahve issue accessing it if this is still gonna be your primary drive. The reason is because the drive is already configured to access your exisiting motherboard and processor. Therefore you amy ahve problems with setting this drive as the primary. Your best bet would be to purchase a new hard drive as well because with the new motherboard should come a faster access rate as well through the mainboard so you will want the better rate to improve performance on the system as well. Then you could use the existing drive as a slave and access the files without problems. I have been successful using older drives on new boards sometimes but problems have showed up later down the line. www.newegg.com has some very good prices on parts and they do have a return policy. I hope this helps

it will be accesible just however you will have to be required to reactivate windows. But BEWARE if you have reactivated windows before you might have to call phone support at the number on the reactivation screen. WHY? because there are only a certain number limit of reactivations you can do after that you have to rip off the Sticker on the back of the computer and throw it away it's useless.Aside from that choose newegg.com they have a betterbusinessbureau rating of B+ or A- but they have a good rating very fast shipping and no hassle when dealing with returns i highly recommend it i've been using it for 6 years. And tigerdirect.com by the way i go to the store in miami the tigerdirect.com outlet store and it's a terrible hassle to return things or exchange. and when you return things they recharge you a 15% restocking fee so beware of this. For processors i might choose tigerdirect.com sometimes but rarely unless i can't find it. But i recommend for processors newegg.com

Yes, you can access your old hard drive. You will have to install the drivers for your new motherboard, they will be on the disk that comes with it. After installing the new board and processor, go to computer management and look for yellow exclamations. Right click and go to "update driver". Put the CD in and hopefully Windows will do the rest.

Yes, the data will still be accessible. You might not be able to boot from it though because Windows does not like having motherboards changed on it...it will crash upon startup. If you do a repair install for Windows it will work, but it is best to backup your stuff, format and reinstall Windows.

the old HDD will be accessible ... but the problem is that your OS will not work or if it will work it will work strange. Usually it's better to install a fresh copy of windows after installing a new MB and CPU.
if the HDD is big enough ... move the important data on another partition and leave the space on C: to install a fresh copy of windows.
you can try running the old OS on the new hardware and it might work after requesting the new drivers, but don't count on that and don't expect it to work as good as a fresh OS.

Dont concern relating to the skill grant they have in basic terms added som new features you annoying force Cdrw, Floppy sould be ok you are able to could revert / decrease(or purchase adapter) for the skill to the HDD CDRW etc. in the event that they're flat 4in line ok in the event that they loock like a block of four verify along with your Voltmeter BLACK could be detrimental crimson is greater often than not +5Volt and YELLOW +12Volt. by applying the way I had to diminish the 4extra on my skill grant because of the fact I surely have the 20 pin. some Supplys contain a the two or cable. in no way ever open the skill grant field and while working (pluggin in out etc) get rid of your MAINs skill PLug. Take care

Dear fellow member,

Here's the quick run-down: yes your hard drive will work IF your motherboard supports the interface. There's the old IDE and the new Serial- ATA interface.

Check those first before you buy.
Kind Regards,
Ben

yes, it wil run faster if you're old is using a win 98 , there will be no problem because win 98 will just ask for update,if you're old hard disk have win xp i think, it will not run on the new board because of hardware detection error.
