What a load of **** spouted by LuMin. Would they still be "freedom fighters" if they massacred your family?!?!? I doubt it.
Stupid.
"Peaceful" Muslims don't denounce terrorists because there is something in the koran that says you should not be the cause of another muslim's downfall.
They and their supporters (like LuMin) are nasty lying hypocritical little bags of shite.

Everyone keeps on about small or tiny minorities in this area of Answers. Stop dreaming. It's a very, very sizable
minority if not actually a majority. Many friends and relatives must know about these events prior to their initiation but do not inform the authorities. The numbers arrested are only the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

because the majority condone such attacks. Oh I know the rest of us are spoonfed by pc community leaders that the majority condemn it but in a recent poll relating to 7/7 47% of muslims openly agreed with the attacks, 12 or 13% werent sure either way. If you add up the sums that makes it a majority of uk muslims who think its justified and it's only a minority who condemn such acts. That's the real reason you wont hear their fatwas or protest marches, the few who would probably have liked to are too scared because they would definitely be outnumbered by those who dont give a toss and those who agree with terrorists. And the appeasers (non-muslim usually)make it very easy for them.

Nowhere does the Holy Quran recommend violence. Quran in basic terms facilitates retaliation that too prefers forgiveness to retaliation. you have misinterpreted the Holy Quran. a genuine Muslim ought to forgive. so some distance as Jihad is in touch a genuine Muslim ought to salary Jihad against the unseen enemies of Islam that's lack of know-how, Illeteracy, Backwardness, incorrect information and so on. and so on. As of immediately those are the worst enemies of Islam.

Why is it that all of us peace loving people aren't in the streets protesting war and violence and terror and hate crime?
Because most of us are caught up in the day to day of our own lives (not saying that this is a bad thing per se). My personal focus is on peace and love and happiness in my life and those of my loved ones.
Plus - it feels totally like I can't make a difference in the world or have influence on world leaders............so all I can do is make sure my personal interactions day by day are with that focus.
So - I believe that this is true also of the "silent" peaceful muslims you speak of.

A moderate would say because the peaceful ones would not condone was against anyone, particularly their "brothers".
But I suspect they have a great deal of sympathy for them. Why else would they keep quiet while others were bringing shame upon their religion?!

Thats kind of a oxymoron, as "peaceful" Muslims would never issue a fatwa in the first place otherwise they would not be considered peaceful.

My Muslim friends are so non practicing that they even get into bitter arguments with the more rigid Muslims.
But your question does make a good point. Hope you get some good answers.

Maybe the violent minority has bullied the silent majority into their silence. It's truly sad - but the silent majority need to speak up for the sake and soul of their faith....

A recent major poll in England found that a huge majority of Muslims consider themselves Moslem first, English last. Also, the fascists have the tendency to kill people who disagree with them.
