We use 2 of these irons as my sister and my mum run an ironing service/business, first of all they said DO NOT use any descaler, just flush it out as per the instructions and when you restart it you have to hold down the (RESET) button down for more than 3 seconds, it will then stop flashing and you are good to go again, have fun.....................

Try doing the instructions again and again until the light stops flashing, there must be more in there than you think.
Doesn't anyone realise vinegar IS a descaler

Do you have Terry's Chocolate Orange where you are?? Smashing it against a wall is so much fun, and a great way to blow off steam and stress. It's like hammering the wall, except when you're done, there's a tasty treat, ready to eat! It's loud when you smash it, so if it's night time, you're better to just jump on it with your portable cushion a few times - it'll break just the same, and it's just as tasty, as long as you don't pay too much attention to how you broke it. :)

Try filling it with white vinegar and water and let the steam run through onto an old cloth.

Try putting vinegar in the water resevoir and push the steam button (or clean button if your iron has one). Vinegar will clean off anything that needs cleaning........
