This may not be helpful, I'm probably just boasting about what I've planned for my husbands birthday next week.

We have a local limo firm that has a Mystery Machine. Despite being nearly 34 he is a big Scooby Doo fan, so I've hired it to take us to the restaurant. Once you split the cost between 8 of us it's not too bad. Are there any local firms that could provide some novelty transport to a club or restaurant? A present doesn't have to come in a gift box.

On one of my birthdays, my husband gave me breakfast in bed and a card that was the first clue in a paperchase. I had to go all over the house, finding more clues, until I got to my gift.
It was hysterical and I loved it!

As to the gift at the end, it depends what she's into. You could try taking her for a picnic, with champagne, strawberries, chicken, salad and birthday cake, followed by a movie.

I don't think gifts need to be expensive particularly, just thoughtful.

Have a great time :-)

multiple orgasms would be great.

but assuming you are not sexually active with her, i would take her to a nice restaurant, arrange for them to have her favorite dessert, whether they make it or not, they would work with you to have it ahead of time, arrange for someone to play music at your table, have flowers for her, etc.

also, i would suggest getting her a charm bracelet and put some charms on it that are significant to both of you. this is a great gift because you can get charms on her birthday or just whenever for her to add to it.

if you are grown up and have sexual relations, rent a honeymoon suite, give her a spa in the jacuzzi tub and get some flavored oils at Rite Aid or CVS and some massage oils, and rub her down and make love to her all night long.

A nice gift that i had was a makeover at boots, they arent very expensive and the money that you spend on the makeover comes off the total value of any make-up that she buys.
