Every security (at least, those that are traded on an exchange) has a "ticker symbol", an abbreviation for the name of the security.

The "name" is the name of the company, or is derived from it. "US Steel", for example, is the name of a company. Its symbol is X.

"Last trade" is the price of the stock as of the most recent purchase/sale.

"Change" is the difference between the "last trade" price and the previous day's "close", the price of the final transaction of the day.

"Volume" is just the number of share that changed hands during some period of time (usually one day).

Symbol - "Reliance communications" is mentioned at National stock exchange as "RCOM".If you enter the name of this company in full form on NSE then you wont get details.you have to provide as RCOM only.This is what symbol.Symbol differs from exchange to exchange

Last trade -

At the start of the day,"Last trade" refers the price of the share in which it was transacted by end of the previous day.

change - difference between the previous price and current price of the share-it is represented in terms of money as well as %

volume - total quantity of shares sold/bought
