We'd probably give you a cup of tea and complain that the added tanks on the road are causing longer traffic jams.

Beyond that - wouldn't think we'd notice the difference!

Are we talking just England or the U.K. since you know the Scottish and Irish both have great track records of throwing off "liberators". If the U.S. were to invade England or Ireland I would do whatever I could to defend the country from coming under rule of Bush or another president.

How could it be a positive thing to invade our only real supporter on the war on terror? The coalition of the willing is effectively U.S. and U.K. most of the other countries are utterly worthless and only did it to suck up to the U.S. I would not mind the removal of power of Blair, but an invasion of the U.K. would just be blatant stupidity, which may make it possile with Bush.

What the hell would we be liberating them from? Blair is a puppet but atleast Bush and Blair both will be out of office relatively soon. The hatred many would fester towards the U.S. would be great and I think you would see a huge increase of violence against americans until we were forced back into isolation. Then we would probably follow the route of China go back into isolationism fall behind every country in technology and advances and then when we decided to come back to the world scene we would be noone.

Oh come off it! Hitler couldn't manage and he was intelligent, fantastically organised, had great military leaders and two counties worth of cause-committed civilians behind him, everyone in europe was terrified of him, and he was next door. What hope would Bush have, and lets face it, he wouldn't have puppy-dog Blair to back him up on this one would he? Dream on. Besides which, the British born Muslims might not be pleased with Blair and his actions, but they were still born here, and many of them feel that this is their country, they hate Blair and all americans, have the power, communication and resources to decimate the power centres of the United States and would no doubt do so. Our armed forces may be smaller, but we've managed to protect our little island for the last couple of thousand years, and colonise places like, hmmm, lets see, America. You only have to look to last years July bombings to realise that the indomitable British spirit that has brought us through many a conflict is still very much alive and kicking, you'd have no chance, but bring it on, will give us something to chat about when the cricket and football don't dominate the news. Best of luck old chap!

Nothing as long as you stay out of Wales. In any case, why would you want to invade England? You already dictate to them and everyone else in the world that your way is the only way.
Get a life and worry about the state of affairs in your own country before declaring war on other countries that don't want your fat arses involved!!!

If the US invaded the UK, I'd be the first up the church tower with my sniper rifle.

On the whole, this country runs ok - sure the trains are messed up and the rest of it, but the social security system (for all its flaws) does mean we dont have to pay for health insurance and all the rest.

You'll have to learn where we are on the map first!

And by the way "England" is only one part of this island called the UK. Ever heard about Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland mate??

I would form or join the resistance and fight for liberty, freedom and justice against the invading armies of the USA. I would be prepared to die for the cause of freedom and bring the fight to the aggressors, even if it was a fight I knew I could never win.

Even though you are our closest ally we will repel you on the beaches in the fields and in the streets!

However ask us to a part of your nation in a free vote and you may get a resounding yes if we can get the same rights as you. i.e. shoot burglars in our homes , own firearms, raise drinking to 21. You Americans get a lot of bad press but hey I am up for a union if you are.

No i bloody wouldnt!! I'm English and proud of it - I would see ANY invasion as a negative thing. Just because you are our "Friends from across the pond" it wouldnt make the slightlest difference to me. War and Invasion are hardly the most positive states to be in.

And your point is?

How can Invaders be Liberators.

If we asked you for help then you'd be liberators. If not you'd be invaders.

Please add details as to why you ask this question.

THE USA HAVE INVADED TOO MANY PLACES.
SO HAVE THE UK.

If you did invade you would die or I would die trying to kill you.
