You can take both at once. Tylenol (Acetaminophen) and Advil (Ibuprofen) are two completely different medications.

They both do different things...one is a pain-reliever (Tylenol), and the other is an anti-inflammatory (Advil). They both are processed differently in your body.

If you're an otherwise healthy person, there should be no problem taking them together. The problem arises when you take too much of either one, so often times we advise people to alternate between taking Tylenol and Advil. This way you don't run the risk of taking too much of either in a 24 hour period.

Advil is ibuprofen and Tylenol is acetaminophen. You can take them during the same time period, alternating every 2 to 4 hours.

You can they are different types of medicines. But the real problem is why do you need to take both? Maybe you need to see a doctor to get your problem fixed. You shouldn't take either for a long period of time.

I think it's something about them both containing Acetometophine, and too much of that is a bad thing.

Could be wrong, wait for some insane intellectual to answer your Q.

Because Tylenol is an acetaminophen
and Advil is asperine based.
And I really don't want to be in that hospital.
I am a Pharmacist Assistant and recommend not to take
it together. If you want to ruin your organs, go ahead.
