I need some help with Microsoft word..i don’t know what I did but all of a sudden theres this weird symbol that’s in front of all my sentences and when I hitt enter to make a new paragraph up comes this symbol again which looks like two lines and on the left line higher up is a small dark black bump. And it also puts dashes in between my words. How do I get rid of this?!

hi.
don't worry ... u just enabled the indicator for spaces and end of lines. those symobls will not show if you prind your document or something like that.

to disable them u have to look in u'r toolbars for the same symbol. clicking it will disable the indication.

With the Word document open, do the following:

Go to Tools in the menu bar, then choose Options
On the View tab, look for a section which says "Formatting Marks"
Remove the checks from all boxes in this section
Click OK

Voila!

Good luck!

You turned on the paragraph marker. Look for that symbol on the toolbar near the top and click it again to turn it off.

It's probably a "bullet". Have you ever used the help files?
