My grandfather and his family came to the U.S. in either 1909 or 1910, from the Nethererlands. His name was Harmen Steringa, his wife was Elizabeth Steringa and they had one son, Melle Steringa. They lived in Grand Rapids, Mich. after coming to the U.S. After living there for ? yrs. They went back to the Netherlands and then came back to The U.S. in 1920 (entered at Ellis Island )

check for shipping records in the netherlands - they bought tickets there, good luck the records may have been lost
