Mine really is Wayne Gretzky. I used to live in Brantford Ontario (where Wayne is from and Walter still lives). Back in the early 80's he used to host an annual tennis tournament to which lots of stars from hockey and music and tv would come to fundraise for the CNIB. I think he now does a celebrity golf tournament instead, but in the old days, that tennis tournament was WIDE OPEN....it was funny how little security there was, and how, because it is Canada after all, small town and a fledgling annual event, you could pretty much get a pic or an autograph and have a conversation with almost any of the celebs there. It was a lot of fun.

Jimmy Stewart. I wrote him a letter and he wrote back. I also have an autograph of Bob Hope who signed his book and also signed a picture of him and Richard Nixon putting in the oval office.

Dick Emery (UK comedian)
He came out to Australia to make a series of his show and I ran into him at the local shops one day! I grew up with his UK show through my grandma, so was very happy to get his autograph to show her.
"Ooh you are awful, but I like you!"
What a funny man he was! (1915-1983)
