Eternal fame. Name another dog in a movie who did absolutely nothing but bark a few times and yet everybody knows his name?
Don't be saying Lassie and Rin Tin Tin because those guys had to do STUNTS! Lassie even had to learn how to say, "Help! Timmy fell down a well!" in dog barks. Not easy for a Collie. A Lab, no problem, but a Collie?

All these characters finally got everything they needed to take care of this poor worn out dog. He was fed, petted, bathed, played with, and even got a place to lay down and sleep again.
