Yawning increases oxygen flow.

The vermiform appendix is generally regarded to be a vestigial organ: a left-over that no longer functions according to its original purpose. It serves no known purpose now, but some theorize that it was probably part of the digestive tract, possible an aid in digesting raw plant matter (like the second stomach in a cow), or perhaps some kind of filter to remove dangerous, poisonous or impure materials. I go for the filter idea because if it is still perfoming a form of filtration, it would explain why it sometimes becomes septic and infected.

The appendix is considered to be a vestigial organ. This is an organ which originally had a use but through evolutionary changes is no longer required. It may however still have an alternative purpose and although the appendix is often seen as having no purpose, there is controversy about this as to whether it truly does have no function or if the function is simply unknown or only happens in certain circumstances.

As for yawning, the question is why did I yawn when I read your question and why do we yawn when we see someone else yawn?!

We yawn to bring more air into our lungs. Maybe we don't breathe effectively when we are tired.

As for the appendix, know one can ascertain for sure why we have them. At this point, there is no medical use for it. One theory, however, is that years ago (as cave-people, or whatever), people needed a second digestive area to break the food down more thoroughly. Remember, at that time, people hunted and just mawed on their food without thought of seasoning, cooking well, bones, fur, etc. A second digestive process would have been needed. Kind of like another stomach to further break down food before passing through the intestines. We have evolved since then and no longer have the need to do that, but the stupid little pouch is still there, all shriveled and useless. Who knows, maybe in another 6,000 years it will have evolved into nothing at all.

1)we yawn because its a muscle reflex that happens when we go from the state of wakefullness to sleepyness or the other way around....u can yawn while breathing in yawn and u can control urself not to yawn..amazing

2) there is a use for appendix when there's sand in ur system it goes there also dirt...and whatever can not come out the right way is stored there and then explodes if over filled.....

Yawning means we are tired and we have a lack of oxygen.

The apendix is an organ no longer used but was used when humans lived in caves.

Yawning is your brains way of telling you that it is'nt getting enough oxygen.

this web site explains the appendix pretty well.
