It all depends on if you are going to beat them or join them.

If you want to be a role model for a rotten society, then you probably need to become a rotten person, that way you will blend in better and be more acceptable to other, even more rotten people than you.

A role model does things properly.A role model takes time to do an excellent job at whatever task is at hand(an excellent, not perfect job because there is no true perfection).A role model takes time to think things through and be prepared before carrying out a task.A role model develops her/his mind through studying, reading, observation:a true role model is intelligent,well-mannered,
benevolent,helpful,
well-groomed,well-spoken,not snobbish...read about the late Audrey Hepburn and the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis who, although not perfect, are considered pretty ideal people, role models.
Remember, a role model does things properly;if you want to be a role model you must think things through. One simple thing you can do is to post questions in their proper categories.Your question belongs in "Etiquette." Royalty-related questions about ruling or non-ruling monarchies and principalities, past and present, belong in this thread.Too many people don't think and post their questions in the wrong threads,You can start being a role model by posting your questions in the proper places and showing others how to post properly!

Try to develop a way to make your aspirations compatible with the society in a way that is not damaging for you. You are a part you the society, and you have the right to do your own thing while remaining in it. You can prove it, and if you do it the right way, the society will have no choice but to accept this.

Why should you have an ambition to be a role model. When people themselves will discover your great qualities they will follow you..... you need not worry about becoming a role model.
