I love San Diego. There are a lot of things to see and do and the weather is generally very nice.

The biggest drawbacks about living in San Diego are the costs of housing and the costs of gasoline. Most nice apartments rent from $900/month and up with many in the $1,100/month range. The average cost of unleaded gas in San Diego is somewhere around $3.20/gallon at this time.

That said, we are within 1 - 2 hours (or less) of the mountains, the beaches and the desert. We can be at Disneyland within 90 minutes and we can be in most attractions in Los Angeles within 2 - 3 hours. Speaking of attractions, we have the World Famous San Diego Zoo and her sister park, the San Diego Wild Animal Park. We have Sea World San Diego and we have two major sports teams - the San Diego Padres and the San Diego Chargers. If you are into golf, we have over 130 public golf courses. If you want to visit Tijuana you can be there within 30 - 60 minutes or less - depending how close you are to the border. We also have the World Famous Whaley House, one of the most famous haunted houses in the United States and listed number one by many sites.

We have a lot of excellent restaurants featuring almost any type of cuisine that you could desire. We have theatre and we have concert venues as well. We have several Indian casino’s to play around in if you don’t want to travel to Las Vegas.

There are several reasons that San Diego is one of America’s top vacation destinations as well as on of America’s top convention destinations. There are several reasons that San Diego has been proclaimed America’s Finest City.

These are many of the reasons that I love living in San Diego.
