As an Arab I care very much.
The Jews were victims of the Holocaust yet they are exacting the same thin in Lebanon and Palestine.
People say that If you stay in southern Lebanon, you deserve to die. How can you leave when all bridges have been bombed, all motorised vehicles are targeted there is no food or water and the constant bombing means you stay hiding for over 20 day.....This was the case in Qana........the MASSACARE of 2 weeks ago.
Some American are so ignorant when it comes to war, you think your the best, maybe you are but for a non zionist view of this conflict and the whole Middle East try bbc.com/news.
You need to open your eyes and not be so ignorant.
The victims of Katrina got internationl aid, however Israel will not halt proceeding for 72 hours to let those still trapped in Southern Lebanon to flee and gain medical attention.
Are these the actions of a democracy...........NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hate begets hate. It's as simple as that. The cycle is the same on both sides. Israelis breed as much hatred in their children and their lack of respect for human rights as Hamas and Hezbollah do. All sides generally torture and kill at will with no regard for humanity. Each side can claim defense of their nation (or lack of a nation.) What's happening in Lebanon and Gaza is an atrocity. People shouldn't so easily be fooled into thinking that Israel is acting in "self-defense." The fact is terrorism is not a Palesitinian invention. Moreover, before the first Intifada, more Israelis were responsible for the death of Israelis for political reasons than were Palestinians. Israelis that sympathize with the Palestinians are called "self hating jews." How does that make any sense? Anyone who criticizes Israel is called an anti-semite - Arabs are a semitic people, so how does it make any sense to call them anti-semites?
For those who don't know, Olmert's own daughter has been protesting the war in Lebanon. The war in Lebanon is Israel's biggest political mistake till today. It has undoubtedly caused a rise in Islamist sentiment. The future is bleak. When civilized nations act uncivilized, what does that hold for the future. No justice, no peace. Neither side gives justice, neither side gets peace...
Do yourself a favor and watch this very interesting video done mostly by Israelis about the treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank. it is very enlightening. I learned a lot of things I didn't know about. When people criticize their own, you have to listen.

And another video with interviews of Palestinians: http://www.ifamericansonlyknew.org/stats/cap-prisw.html
These are very interesting videos that just might open your mind concerning the way propaganda has played its role in what we believe...

The Israeli invasion is just like Hurricane Katrina, they knew it was coming and anyone who didn't get out only has himself to blame if he gets killed or maimed.
Hezbollah and Hamas have perpetually hampered the peace process. Israel has been willing to trade land for peace but these two organizations will have none of it. They've used Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan as staging grounds for their terror campaign for too long. You can't screw with the Jews, their vengence is great.
These people obviously have forgotten that Israel whooped the whole middle east in 6 days.

I care a great deal about the people who are being harmed.
But who cares about what these people have done to Isreal?
Is not Isreal full of people with feelings and have Isrealie mothers not lost their sons in conflicts caused by palestine?
Are we a one sided world with all of our backs turned against Isreal?
Can we not show them compassion and see that they have been bullied for years and turned the other cheek? I say go Isreal. Do what you must to keep what is yours and defend your rights as a nation to live in peace.

I will probably catch a lot of flak bit I have always admired Israel. They do not take any crap off of anyone. They are defending their country right now. They were attacked by hostile forces from two sides. It has to be very tough to be surrounded by countries that hate you. We as Americans have many enemies but we do not have nothing but a fence separating us. The Israelis have given warnings prior to attacking any area and rightly assume that anyone who stays is hostile. Just my opinion

there are no Palestine people, because there is no Palestine......I care as much about that as I do about the Hamas and the Hezbollah doing the violence they do to Israel.....why is it no one that criticizes Israel never remembers the hatred at them, by the very people they are sympathizing with?

sure. This American's opinion is that if "Palestine" and Hezbollah might provide up murdering and kidnapping human beings for interest, we does no longer could help Israel's protecting itself. that is sorta like asking "why do I help the guy who beat up a guy who substitute into raping his spouse?" it extremely is a no brainer.
