The Phoenix/Scottsdale area has great nightlife, lots of activities, and many sports teams too. But you can't cover up the fact that 112 is f'in hot. Not everyone can live in that type of heat.

Sixth largest, I think. I love it, I grew up in Northern AZ where it's cooler and came down to the desert. Yeah, it's hot in the summer and humid during the monsoon, but, surprisingly enough, you DO get used to it. I've come to like it. What most people don't realize about the PHX metro area is that is it a BIG place. Everything is spread out, for miles and miles, and the new developments keep it moving out farther into the desert...
I lived in Mississippi for about a year and couldn't wait to get my happy *** back to the desert.

You do know it's I think the 5th largest city in the nation, right? What's not to do.
